Foro MADCargo recognizes the work of air freight drivers

Nearly 200 professionals linked to air cargo logistics participated last March 7 in the Air Cargo Night, an event organized by Foro MADCargo to highlight the value of the air freight industry, its contribution to society and the decisive work of all professionals involved in the logistics chain.

In a festive atmosphere of consolidation of the air cargo community, the event also served to commemorate the anniversary of the founding of Foro MADCargo, which celebrated its tenth anniversary during the pandemic, which prevented the celebration at the time.

On this occasion, recognition has been given to those who founded Foro MADCargo on November 11, 2010, namely: Alfonso Fuertes, Javier Arán, Jesús Escolar, Jesús Cuéllar, Juan Ignacio Díez Barturen, Fernando Rodríguez Sousa, Jesús Romero and Ángel Gausinet.

Likewise, during the course of the evening, three awards were presented in the categories of Collaboration and Solidarity, Innovation and Air Cargo Professional.

Reyes Rodríguez, director of Ireneo Logística, received recognition in the Collaboration and Solidarity category.
Cristina Martín, CEO of Usyncro, and Manuel Galindo, COO of Webcargo, received recognition in the Innovation category.

The Air Cargo Professional 2022 award went to Jordi Piqué, CEO of Air Europa Cargo.

The Air Cargo Night was also the framework chosen by MADCargo Academy to present the graduation badges to the 11 students who have passed the first edition of the Advanced Air Cargo Management Program, promoted by Foro MADCargo and Foro de Logística together with the Camilo José Cela University.

Similarly, during the evening, the Turkish Embassy in Spain wanted to recognize the work carried out in recent weeks by Foro MADCargo in mobilizing professionals and companies of the air cargo community to put at the service of humanitarian aid all their material and human resources to altruistically and voluntarily streamline all procedures and that humanitarian aid collected in Spain has been able to reach as soon as possible to the various points affected by the severe earthquakes in Turkey and Syria. Up to 250 tons of aid have been mobilized for transport directly by air through the campaign "Air Cargo Aid for the earthquakes in Turkey and Syria", developed by Foro MADCargo.
