Turkish Airlines, which counts Gen-Air as its GSA in Spain, has announced that it will replace the A330F freighter with a B747F for the Madrid-Istanbul route. To date, the airline has operated two freighters, an A330F and an A310F, every Wednesday for movements between Spain and Turkey.

According to Turkish Airlines, this operation represents "a considerable expansion of capacity on the route, as well as the measures that we can support". It is also the first regular B747F operation from Madrid. On the other hand, the company recalls that it has four weekly freighters from Madrid and one weekly freighter from Barcelona (A310F).
