Yesterday 22nd, the Director of Madrid Airport, Mrs. Elena Mayoral and her team met with the Air Cargo Commission of UNO in a working breakfast at the CEIM headquarters. The meeting was moderated by Mr. Juan Pablo Lázaro, president of UNO and CEIM and MADCARGO members had a relevant participation.
During the meeting, several topics were discussed, such as the measures to be taken to improve infrastructure and security at the Madrid Air Cargo Center or the possibilities of establishing a digital platform for the exchange of operational data between all members of the Cargo Community. They also discussed the need to establish a strategic plan for the development of air cargo in Madrid with specific milestones that will allow monitoring.
After a frank and constructive discussion on both sides, it was agreed that all the initiatives discussed would be channeled through ad-hoc working groups to be set up for this purpose within the Madrid Air Cargo Facilitation Committee.
