In the face of weak growth in eFreight for airfreight in general, the air cargo industry has promoted the e-Air Waybill, developed specifically for the sector and which has doubled its penetration annually.
The paperless air cargo information is now a global reality, having gone in just five years from a penetration rate, i.e. the number of shipments using this method as a percentage of total shipments, to a globally, having gone in just five years from a penetration rate, i.e. the number of shipments using this method as a percentage of the total, from 1.2% in 2010 to 24.9% in 2014.This was 2.9 points above the target set by the International Air Transport Association (IATA).
